WHISTLING IN THE DARK: BEST OF AN ONLINE JOURNAL

"There's only one thing that I know how to do well
And I've often been told that you only can do
What you know how to do well
And that's be you,
Be what you're like,
Be like yourself,
And so I'm having a wonderful time
But I'd rather be whistling in the dark"

They Might Be Giants

I will not claim to have been a very dedicated blogger over the 10 years I’ve maintained a web diary or a livejournal. However, there are a handful of entries I'm quite proud of. Although I still have an account at livejournal, I’ve copied this handful of entries here as a representative sample of the “Best of Nottheterritory 1999-2010”, and I invite you to take a look.

February 2001 / The Power of Habit (~1200 words)

September 2003 / Lost in Translation (~300 words)

November 2003 / A Way to Say I Love You (~2000 words)

January 2007 / George Lucas and the Limits of Creation (~1250 words)

September 2007 / Present-Absent (~1000 words)

March 2010 / Stoker Took me to School (~1400 words)
